Winter Styling Guide

This is the key decision. Over your coat: easy access, but exposed to weather. Under your coat: protected, but harder to reach. For daily errands, wear it over. For commuting or long outdoor periods, wear it under. The long strap works better over coats—it needs length to clear the bulk. Short strap works under coats, keeping it close to your body.

Black disappears under dark coats, which can be good or bad. If you want it visible, choose Cinnamon, Purple, or Sapphire—they create contrast against black and navy coats. If you want it discreet, Black blends seamlessly. Cinnamon looks particularly rich against winter fabrics—wool, cashmere, heavy knits. It feels seasonal without being obvious.

The strap sits nicely over chunky knits. The pleated texture of the pocket contrasts with smooth sweater knits, creating visual interest. Scarves can interfere with the strap—either wear the scarf under the strap or skip the crossbody and go for a shorter carry. Turtlenecks work perfectly with the long strap crossbody—the strap doesn't bunch or twist.

Gloves and phone access: the expandable opening means you can reach in with gloved hands (thin gloves, not ski gloves). Snow and rain: the material handles light moisture fine, but don't let it get soaked. If it gets wet, let it air dry—don't put it near direct heat. The durability means winter wear won't damage it, but protect it from extreme weather.

Winter means constant transitions. Outside: wear it over your coat for access. Inside: slip it under your coat or remove the coat and wear it normally. The quick adjustment is part of winter life. The short strap makes this easier—less length to manage. Consider having both strap lengths if you live somewhere with harsh winters.
